Coconut Burfi ( Kobri Mithai)

1/4 kg Sugar

1 coconut

5 gms Cardamom Powder

10 gms Ghee

Grate the coconut and roast it in a pan till the raw smell disappears. Add sugar and a few drops of water( do not pour too much water).The sugar will melt and wwill blend with the grated cocont. Keep stirring ona low flame. After 5 minutes pour the ghee on the coconut and sugar and add cardamom powder. Do not allow the mixtre to harden.

When all the ingredients have blended well and the mixture starts to thicken, pour it on a tray smeared with ghee.Spread the mixture and flatten and cut into desired shapes.( Sugar can be substituted with jaggery).

My fav! :)Grating the coconut is a real pain though. :)
